In 2014 UWS / HAC RUFC will play in the NSW Suburban Rugby Union 3rd Division. We will field 4 teams and play matches on a Home and away basis (7 at UWS Richmond and 7 away). Other teams in NSWSRU Division 3 include Hawkesbury Valley, Kings Old Boys, Waverley, Brothers, Epping, and Hills.
Training occurs every Tuesday and Thursday from the 28th January 2014. In 2014 training will start at 6.30pm and finish at 8:30pm.
UWS / HAC is an amateur rugby club playing in the NSWSRU 3rd division we are not the Wallabies. We realise that the very nature of our players (indeed all rugby players) is to be competitive (otherwise we woud not play) but the unfortunate realities of everday life require us to be realistic and reasonable with our training demands. The Club has found that the following sequence works well in setting an individuals priorities for training and keeping the rugby we play in the correct position. FAMILY - FIRM - FOOTBALL.
Tuesday night all players are expected to be at training for fitness, Touch, Skills, and ball work and if you can't attend then make your apologies to your coach (this is just good manners). Thursday nights players must attend to be considered for Saturday selection in a starting position. UWS / HAC RUFC prides itself on it's management of our players as the most valuable asset of our Club and we completely understand that to be a happy rugby player you need to have other aspects of your life in order.
The Registration Fee for 2014 has been set at $250. It includes the following:
- ARU Registration
- HAC Training Shirt
- HAC Shorts
- HAC Socks
Full payment of rego prior to 15 March 2014 will see it also include:
- HAC Rugby Polo Shirt
- HAC Rugby Jersey
A season of rugby is pretty cheap when you consider that this includes 14+ matches, and some 50 training sessions.
We are a very successful little rugby Club who would welcome your involvement. In season 2013 1st Grade were semi finalists with all other grades enjoying several wins throughout the season.
The Club has one of the best social scenes in NSW Suburban rugby and welcomes all new players with open arms. In 2013 50% of the players were students or ex students and 50% were players from the local areas of Penrith, Hawkesbury, Blacktown and the Lower Mountains. The nature of the club produces a vibrant mix of youth and experience, city and country fellas, and we like to think of UWS / HAC as the city face of country rugby.
Give us a go you won't be disappointed.
Wazzie, Wazzie, Yah!
